About Galaxy
Power Lab's Century Fuse Box is considered among the best audiophile-grade fuse box currently available in the market, but its complex design and high manufacturing cost make it relatively expensive and inaccessible to many Hi-Fi enthusiasts.
A year after the launch of the Century Fuse Box, Power Lab's engineers started to develop a more affordable, high-end fuse box, second only to the Century model. They identified an inherent problem with traditional fuse boxes, the varying current flow distances in the input and output cable clusters due to the non-parallel connections on the terminal blocks.
Power Lab's research team was a pioneer in adopting a Star Terminal connection design inside a Hi-Fi fuse box. Due to its design complexity and lengthy CNC machine time, this project was nearly abandoned at the initial prototyping stage. However, thanks to the efforts of Power Lab's engineers, they were able to adjust the design drawings and streamline the manufacturing process. The Galaxy 10-way Fuse Box was finally launched in 2020, which was later refined into the current Galaxy 6-way Version 1.1. The key benefit of the Star Terminal design is that it ensures the input source wire distance is equal for all output cables, greatly alleviating the coherence issues associated with traditional fuse box designs.
The Galaxy Fuse Box is just the first product in Power Lab's plans to decentralize this innovative Star Terminal technology and incorporate it across their entire product line, complementing their other core Century-level technologies to create a sparkling series of audiophile wonders.
